The  engine in my bus was originally built up with the old casing that had been line bored but little did I know that it had been dropped by the courier in transit from the machine shop resulting in a hairline crack near the flywheel.

I also added a bit of extra handling by removing 6 leaves from the top and bottom front torsion tubes and fitting coil over Gaz adjustable shocks to lower it 2 inches. Also I fitted Gaz adjustable shocks and a anti roll bar kit to the rear.

As the engine was only fitted back in two days before ‘Run To The Sun’ I only had one option so…........the next day out it come again to locate the crack then…..…….after a but of rotary filing to the casing I chemical metalled up the crack just to get to ‘Run To The Sun’ and back then transplanted all the bits into a brand new casing once I got back………. ...What ever it takes!!

The coilover shocks take about half the weight of the vehicle and are fully adjustable

The addition of the roll bar greatly reduces the body roll and thus improves cornering.
